Michael Weidenhamer

Hello there. My name is Michael Weidenhamer and I am 18 years old. I graduated from Perry High School in 2009 and now I'm currently attending Stark State College and majoring in Web Development.
My craving to make websites didn't start until my Junior Year in High School. I took an IT class at Canton South High School and my professor there had us start making programs from C++ and developing websites. He taught us the basics but as the year progressed, I taught a lot of the web design features myself. As I kept figuring new things out, the craving grew. I always thought I would be a networking type of person, but it turns out, I enjoy programming more. Currently, the programming languages that I know include HTML, CSS, MySQL, PHP and C++. I placed first in the Business Professionals of America C++ and Web Applications event in 2009.
In my free time, I try to think of new ideas for simple C++ programs and different web templates. The only thing that gets me is that I'm not creative whatsoever. Also I try and learn new programming languages on my own. So far I've taught myself PHP and I'm pretty decent at it.
My goals for the furture include, obtain a Degree in Computer Science and Web Development. Also, I would like to find a career in web development. A third goal that I have is to learn more programming languages. I really want to learn Java. Hopefully I can achieve these goals as I progress through school.
